About us
At Central Cacao Company, we champion agroforestry as a sustainable and innovative alternative to monoculture cacao farming. Founded in 2015, we united our diverse expertise to create a project with lasting impact. Today, we work hand-in-hand with local farmers and associations to produce carbon-positive cacao, protect the rich biodiversity of Laguna Lachúa National Park and its buffer zone, and foster a future where farming and conservation thrive together.
In 2024, we partnered with Wedgetail, a collaboration that strengthens our commitment to sustainable farming and climate resilience, bringing additional resources and expertise to empower local communities and protect the environment.

we are focused onCacao
In order to produce fine cacao for niche market segments, we conduct research and development in a clonal garden in partnership with local producers of Lachuá. We selected the 5 best clones in terms of productivity, tolerance to relevant diseases and bean quality.

IT'S UP TO US to protectNature
Plantations are only established on lands already deforested. The forested areas of the properties purchased are enriched with native species and conserved as natural corridors or buffer areas for nearby protected areas.
